Seeking to
realise your potential?
“This spiritual path is a love story of truth-seeking and truth-finding, of the knowledge of love and the love of knowledge, and of a topsy-turvy magical ride penetrating uncharted universes.”
KAREN JOHNSON - Co-Founder of the Diamond Approach
In the necessary process of developing our everyday self, we grow apart from our truer self, our authenticity. As a result, our day-to-day experience can feel a pale imitation of something more real.
The degree of estrangement from who we truly are, and the circumstances under which this happens, vary from person to person. For many people, the associated feelings of alienation, discontent and purposelessness become an existential crisis.
This moment of truth can evoke a yearning for something different and deeper. Turning inward to discover our depth is often expressed as a desire to discover, ‘Who am I really?’, ‘Where do I truly belong?’, ‘Is there more to life than what I am experiencing?’, and ‘What else can I be?’.
Feeling the drive for self-discovery to realise your spiritual nature and recognising that the external world will not provide what you long for, is a step towards waking-up and becoming a spiritual seeker on a path of self-awareness.
Are these experiences familiar to you?
The Diamond Approach path is a teaching that addresses the heartfelt longings and questions of spiritually oriented people living in the modern world.
Introducing the Diamond Approach
Through exploring the ordinary circumstances of everyday life, this teaching about the realisation of our human potential and how to live that realisation emerged. Here you can watch people talk about their experience on this unique path of self-discovery.
From the perspective of our teaching realising your spiritual nature is often experienced as a feeling of coming home through discovering and loving the truth of who you really are.
Here you can find out more about Diamond Approach Australia, the teachings we offer, and the spiritual practices we use to support your journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening.
You can find answers to frequently asked questions such as is the Diamond Approach a religion (no) or a form of psychotherapy (no) here.

Living a full life gets quite a lot of attention. It’s often focussed on what we’ve done, are doing, what we’ve achieved … very much a focus on the external world.
What happens when we shift our perspective and examine what it means to live a full life from our inner experience?
The most noticeable element of a true, full and zesty life is an experience of energy and fullness. The life within us has a freedom of energy in it, a freedom of movement.
Feelings of dullness, listlessness or static are not present – instead, there is a palpable sense of aliveness.
A full life also has a sense of health and well-being. It can feel like all the cells in your body are full and healthy, not dried up or tired.
Join us to explore what living a full life means to you and gain access to unlock your own inner zestyness for life.

Cultivate Steadfastness, Confidence, and Support
Have you ever wondered how to develop steadfastness, persistence and authentic unshakeable confidence? Join us for an exploration into staying on track, even when faced with resistance inside and out.
About the Retreat:
Life often throws us curveballs, challenges our authenticity, and tests our resolve.
For anything to happen on the spiritual path, or in our life, we need persistence, steadfastness and support. These capacities are the result of being in touch with the solidity and support of true will. It is will that helps us overcome obstacles and keep moving in the direction we need to go.
In this retreat, we are continuing our exploration and deepening into this fundamental, indispensable essential quality.
But how do we discover and develop the inner support needed to be true to ourselves?
From participating in this retreat, you may gain an understanding into:
- How your relationship with your father impacts your sense of inner support
- How to liberate yourself from the imprint of your relationship with father
- How self-images associated with a strong will block your connection to true will
- The difference between true or ‘essential’ will and the ego’s distortion of it
- What ‘surrender’ is, why it is important, and what blocks it
- The source of groundedness, realism and certainty on the spiritual path
- The significance of will for the inner journey
