The moment that we see that the journey has no end, everything changes.

Face-to-face retreats

Public Retreats are face to face events held in Sydney and aim to introduce members of the public to a particular aspect of the teaching of the Diamond Approach. While a more intensive experience than the webinars no prior experience of the Diamond Approach is necessary. Each introductory retreat is a standalone experience.

What happens at retreat

Each introductory retreat has a particular theme associated with a core teaching of the Diamond Approach. The retreat process uses an experiential approach that includes talks, spiritual practices (e.g. meditation, sensing and movement), experiential exercises in pairs, triads and small groups, large group discussion and personal exploration. Usually a retreat day commences at 9.30am and concludes at 5.30pm.

A retreat day is usually divided into two three hour sessions with a 90 minute break for lunch. Each session starts with some form of meditation and is followed by a specific teaching related to the theme of the retreat. You are provided an opportunity to deepen your personal inquiry through experiential exercises usually in pairs or triads before re-joining the large group to process any personal and group experiences that have emerged in response to the teaching and the experiential exercises.

Topic: The Open Life

"If a person can experience space, then essence will manifest spontaneously, one aspect following another." - A. H. Almaas
Openness has a magical impact on the inner journey. It expresses the pristine, timeless expanse of our true nature. But many of us resist opening, sometimes in spite of ourselves, sometimes unconsciously. This retreat will offer precise understanding and guidance about the dynamic, immaculate spaciousness of Being, and how it can be recognised as the liberating ground of our life and consciousness.

Date/Time: Three days from 9.30 am Wednesday 15 January 2020 to 5.00 pm Sunday 19 January 2020
There will be an orientation session for students joining the group on the 14th Janaury from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
Cost: $880 (GST inclusive)
Location: Chevalier Resource Centre, 1 Roma Avenue, Kensington in Sydney, Australia
